She became a respected member of Montgomery Optometrists in January 2019, bringing over 30 years of experience in dentistry. Her extensive background in patient care and administration as a Dental Nurse, Oral Health Educator, and Childsmile Nurse has been instrumental in her transition and growth within the field of optics. She is our go to IT specialist.

Outside of work, Shirley enjoys the tranquility of rural country life with her family and two dogs. She has a passion for audiobooks, cruise holidays, and spending quality time with loved ones. She also loves home-baking with her grandchildren which is very fortunate for the team at Montgomery's who enjoy the spoils on a weekly basis.

has dedicated nearly 35 years to optics, all of them with Montgomery Optometrists. She has enjoyed building lasting relationships with patients, finding great fulfilment in getting to know them over the years.

She has a keen eye for the latest frame designs and loves seeing the ever-expanding range of colours and styles available.

Outside of work, Pauline stays active by attending exercise classes and enjoying daily walks around the area.

became a valued member of Montgomery Optometrists in the summer of 2018. With a background in the NHS, she gained extensive experience working with a variety of patients, providing compassionate care and support.

She enjoys welcoming new patients, ensuring the smooth daily operation of the practice, and continually expanding her skills in optics.

Outside of work, Jill loves the outdoors whether she’s exploring new running routes or spending quality time with friends and family.

With over 20 years of experience in the optical industry, Rod is dedicated to providing exceptional, family centered eye care. As a partner in the practice, he is passionate about delivering high-quality, community-focused optometry services. He also has a keen interest in the evolving field of myopia management, staying at the forefront of advancements to benefit his patients. 

Originally based in Edinburgh, Rod relocated to Dunbar in 2018 with his wife and two sons. Outside of work, he enjoys mountain biking and exploring East Lothian’s stunning coastline with his family and their dog, Carter.  

Coral brings three decades of expertise to the optical industry, with a distinguished career focused on the independent sector. Having spent over 20 years in a boutique-style clinical practice in the heart of Edinburgh, she has developed a deep passion for clinical excellence and bespoke eyewear styling. Her commitment to delivering superior eye care continued after relocating to East Lothian, where she is now a partner in the practice. Coral remains dedicated to providing the highest standard of community-based eye care, ensuring a personalized and professional experience for every patient. 

Beyond her professional life, Coral enjoys an active lifestyle, including Peloton training, yoga, and making the most of East Lothian’s beautiful coastline. She has a passion for travel and exploring new cultures with her family, which often inspires her love for cooking and trying new dishes. With a rugby-enthusiast husband and son, she has naturally embraced the sport as part of family life.
